#OpenCity FNB Art Joburg
A four-day Open City art celebration is taking place in galleries in the suburbs of Rosebank, Parktown North, Parkhurst and Parkwood. This encompasses everything from installations and exhibitions to talks by artists and performances.
Film also forms part of the mix with an Open City Film Festival at Nu-Metro, Hyde Park. There is even a literature programme featuring displays of art books and prints at Radisson Red, Oxford Parks.
According to FNB Art Joburg founding director – Mandla Sibeko: “Open City is our response to the current conditions; mobilizing all culture players, artists and gallerists to reimagine an open city of Joburg.”
