Meeting the needs of our visitors is key to the Jack Rose (JR). As a result, catering arrangements for tour groups or meetings are versatile and adaptable.
Recently, luxury tour company – OR Africa Tours brought visitors from Israel to the hotel. We provided the restaurant – The Rosebud and outside caterers provided the meal to meet their requirements.
With a target market of overseas visitors who are either kosher or halal, OR Africa attends to all the details from the flights through to ensuring the quality of the meals and the accommodation.
Every tour is tailor-made so that an unforgettable travel experience is created. Says a spokesperson: “Our wide range of tours and activities cater for diverse interests and age groups. This encompasses leisure business, religious, adventure, romantic and eco-tours.”

“We realise, too, that dietary restrictions can be challenging,” adds the spokesperson. As a result, the company ensures these needs are met – be they kosher or halal. For instance, the Little Pilgrims Boutique Hotel in the Kruger boasts a fully-kosher restaurant.
Versatile catering
Situated in the heart of Rosebank, the JR is the perfect arrival and departure point for visiting tour groups. Not only do we have our own restaurant – the Rosebud, at the entrance of the hotel but we are able to meet all catering needs.
Whether it be for tour groups, seminars, product launches or merely celebrations we are versatile and adaptable with respect to meeting catering needs.
If our kitchens cannot cater for your needs, you are more than welcome to make the relevant arrangements with advance notification to management. In addition, every apartment has its own kitchenette for self-catering.
Every reservation at the JR includes a hearty, freshly prepared buffet breakfast included in the price of the room. In addition, should you need a ‘packed’ lunch for the following day – items can be ordered from the menu the night before.
Versatile parking
The safety and security of our visitors are paramount and to this end there is plenty of safe parking behind automatic gates for both cars, minivans and buses.

Spring is in the air
One of the major attractions of spending time in Johannesburg’s suburbs, is the ability to stroll along the tree-lined streets. As Spring emerges so do the blossoms which permeate the air with their fragrances.
